Mastering Competencies to build Stronger Teams

We recently conducted an internal training session titled “Mastering Competencies for Peak Performance”. Led by Mrs. Jamuna M, our Head of HR Advisory, the session focused on enhancing workplace effectiveness by developing five core competencies that are crucial for success in today’s dynamic business environment.

The session emphasized the importance of balancing what we achieve (objectives) with how we achieve it (competencies). Through practical insights and real-life examples, the training guided staff on the competencies embedded in MCA’s performance framework—Training, Initiative & Flexibility, Quality of Work, Communication & Influencing Skills, and Cooperation & Teamwork.

Each competency was broken down into actionable behaviours, helping employees understand how to better demonstrate adaptability, accountability, innovation, and collaboration in their day-to-day work. The session also reinforced how strengthening competencies contributes not only to individual performance but to collective team success.
