Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is one of the most popular festivals in India and is celebrated by millions with zest and fervor across India and in many places across the world. The name is derived from the Sanskrit term Deepavali, meaning “row of lights.” This five-day festival symbolizes new beginnings and the triumph of light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
During the festival, diyas or oil lamps are lit and placed in rows along the parapets of temples and houses and set adrift on rivers and streams. Homes are decorated, and floors are covered with rangoli, consisting of elaborate designs made of coloured rice or flower petals.
At MCA, it was a day of fun and festivities bringing the team together. The office was decked up with bright and vibrant Diwali decor to add to the festive mood. Colorful rangoli designs sparkling with diyas graced the entrance and interiors of the office. The traditional Diwali lunch added to the celebrations on this memorable day.
