Girish Chand

Girish Chand is a Senior Partner at MCA and heads the Compliance practice including Corporate Tax, VAT, ESR and AML. He has over 30 years of experience in Compliance, C-level Finance and Audit executive roles. He has addressed over 200 seminars on VAT, Corporate Tax, ESR and AML topics and is a regular contributor to UAE newspapers on VAT topics. During his Corporate stint, he has been in advisory roles to the Senior Management and Board on Financial and Compliance matters. His varied expertise in Taxation, Financial Management, GRC and Compliance helps Clients to have a holistic perspective on their advisory requirements

Qualification: He is a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Certified Information system Auditor and Bachelor in General Law.

Experience: He has spearheaded MCA GULF VAT practice since 2017 and also leading the ESR and AML verticals. During his Corporate stint, he has held role of CFO for leading Oil & Gas Government entity in UAE and held various other finance and internal audit leadership roles in the downstream Oil and Gas business and leading Local Groups.

Expertise: Compliance management including Corporate Tax, ESR and AML, VAT, JV structuring and Board Dealings, Financial Management and GRC.
