Mani Lakshmanamoorthy

Mani is a Partner at MCA Bahrain and has over 30 years of experience in insurance and reinsurance industries with an extensive background in audit, compliance, risk management, insurance operations, and financial control.

Qualification: He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Charterholder of the CFA Institute. He also holds an Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, and a Financial Risk Manager certification from the Global Association of Risk Professionals, USA.

Experience: Mani worked with a leading general insurance company in India, and Oman and a reinsurance company in Bahrain. He also holds the position of Executive Director for the CFA Society Bahrain and was the past Chairperson of the Bahrain Chapter of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Expertise: As part of his assignments, he headed a profit center, managed insurance operations, and added value being part of the internal audit team. In addition, as Head of Compliance and Legal function, Mani had exposure to dealing with multiple compliance regimes covered by various jurisdictions. His audit assignments always added value to the auditee functions and companies. Additionally, Mani is passionate about projects related to modernizing IT infrastructure within the insurance industry and about mentoring the next generation of industry professionals so that they are more prepared to face the rapidly changing competitive and regulatory landscape.
