However, relief is not automatic. Businesses must submit outstanding tax returns, declare unpaid tax liabilities, and settle the principal tax due or obtain an approved instalment plan before the initiative expires.<\/p>\n<p>Importantly, approved instalment plans can preserve the penalty relief beyond 31 December 2026, provided taxpayers continue to comply with the agreed payment schedule. Failure to maintain the plan may result in all previously waived penalties being reinstated.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #c40832;\">Review Your Tax Position Early<\/h3>\n<p>Not every penalty falls within the scope of the initiative.
